Join us for the 3rd Annual Refugee Youth Benefit Concert, bringing together young musicians from across San Diego for an inspiring evening of music, community, and service in support of refugee youth.

Calling ROOTS volunteers and refugee students to join the 2026 ROOTS STEM Camp at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in North Park! Students in 4th grade and above will explore chemistry, biology, physics, math, and engineering through fun, hands-on experiments led by ROOTS Club members.

Help brighten the holidays for refugee children in San Diego! ROOTS will collect donated gifts at The Bishop’s School dining hall and during the Christmas Tree Lighting event to help fulfill holiday wishes for children served by several local refugee organizations. Volunteers are welcome.

Join ROOTS for a field trip to UC San Diego on Wednesday, June 4, 2025! Tour bioengineering labs, learn about cutting-edge research from a lab director, explore the campus, and take part in a scavenger hunt featuring some of UCSD’s famous public sculptures.

Calling ROOTS volunteers and refugee students to join the 2025 ROOTS STEM Camp at the International Rescue Committee tutoring room in City Heights! Students in 4th grade and above will explore chemistry, biology, physics, math, and engineering through fun, hands-on experiments led by ROOTS Club.

Join ROOTS for a STEM Day at The Bishop’s School in La Jolla on Saturday, March 15, 2025! Refugee students are invited to explore science labs and the Creative Center, enjoy hands-on crafts, play beach ball games, and spend a fun day learning and connecting with ROOTS volunteers.

Join ROOTS for a fun-filled field trip to Chollas Lake Park on Saturday, November 2, 2024! Enjoy fishing, a scavenger hunt, group games, and time outdoors together. Lunch will be provided.

This benefit concert is to support RefugeeNet, presented by ROOTS (Refugee Children’s Organization of Technology and Science), a student club at The Bishops School. Starting at 5:30pm on Saturday, September 28th, the RefugeeNet Benefit Concert will be held at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church

Join the 2024 ROOTS STEM Camp for a summer of hands-on discovery! Refugee students in 4th grade and above will explore science, math, and engineering through experiments, creative challenges, and team-based activities led by ROOTS Club volunteers.

Join ROOTS for a field trip to Mission Trails Regional Park on Saturday, May 18, 2024! Explore the park with a ranger, learn about native plants and local Native American history, and enjoy a fun day outdoors together. Free lunch and snacks will be provided.

Support our STEM Book Drive by donating science-focused books for children and youth. We will collect books to expand access to engaging STEM learning resources for refugee students.

Join ROOTS for a FREE hands-on STEM summer camp for refugee youth in 4th grade and above. Students will explore science, technology, engineering, and math through fun experiments, creative challenges, and team activities.

Celebrate the holiday season with the refugee community! Enjoy live cello and violin performances featuring festive holiday songs that bring music, warmth, and joy to families and children.
