About the Event
ROOTS invites refugee youth and volunteers to join us for a field trip to Mission Trails Regional Park on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
A park ranger will guide us through the park and introduce participants to plants native to the area, as well as the history of the Native American sites and communities connected to the land. The trip will give students a chance to learn about San Diego’s natural environment and local history while spending time outdoors together.
Free lunch and snacks will be provided for all participants. We look forward to a fun and educational day of exploration, learning, friendship, and community!
