Calling ROOTS volunteers and refugee students to join the 2025 ROOTS STEM Camp at the International Rescue Committee tutoring room in City Heights! Students in 4th grade and above will explore chemistry, biology, physics, math, and engineering through fun, hands-on experiments led by ROOTS Club.

About the Event
ROOTS invites refugee students and volunteers to join the 2025 ROOTS STEM Camp at the International Rescue Committee tutoring room in City Heights.
Refugee students in 4th grade and above are welcome to participate in hands-on lessons covering chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, and engineering. Classes will be taught by ROOTS Club members and will focus on interactive experiments, building activities, observation, and problem-solving.
The camp is designed to make science engaging and approachable while giving students opportunities to ask questions, try new ideas, and learn by doing. We hope the experience will help students build confidence in STEM, discover new interests, and foster a lasting love of science.
Volunteers are also invited to join us in teaching, mentoring, and supporting students throughout the camp.
